Affirmed Identity™ - Zero Trust Passwordless Push Authentication

AffirmedID Registration

AffirmedID's unique feature is its app registration. During this process a single registration record is created on your behalf. It is your record and belongs to you alone. A FIDO2 registration bond is formed between this record and this device. No other device can access the record. In the event of a lost or stolen phone or an upgrade to new phone and/or carrier or an upgrade to this app, your account record remains. It is simply transferred to the upgraded device, carrier, and/or upgraded app.

To register, proceed as follows:

  1. Folling PIN entry, tap Options + Register, switching to the registration screen.
  2. Provide your verifiable email address where indicated. It will become your core username. While not a requirement, this should be your personal account. If you need to use another email address for your username, such as required by some service providers, it will be linked to your account record. Although repetitive, we do not share this information with any third parties.
  3. You may optionally provide a phone number where indicated. It would only be used if we had detected a security threat.
  4. No Auth Key is required, do not assign one
  5. Tap Send

Shortly after tapping Send to initiate the registration process, an email verification message will be received. Acknowledge the email verification request if this is your first registration. If this is a transfer, accept email verification. Should you receive an unexpected email verification request, DO NOT TAP ANY OPTIONS OR LINKS OF ANY NATURE. Delete the email message immediately and notify the Help Desk or open a service ticket to report the incident.

Shortly following verification of the email account you’ll receive a notification message on your cell phone confirming the account has been setup or transferred. This message will include your assigned account number. This and your device ID, both displayed on the About screen, should be recorded as they may be needed should your phone be lost or stolen.
